  • The Joy of Rainy Days at Walt Disney World

Rainy days at Disney parks are still full of excitement! Although the weather might affect outdoor attractions and shows, there are countless indoor activities and experiences to enjoy. Dive into indoor rides and attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean or Space Mountain, catch indoor shows such as Mickey's PhilharMagic, or treat yourself to the shopping and dining options available. While many might shy away from visiting a theme park on a rainy day, those who embrace the adventure often discover that there are numerous advantages to explore. For instance, the rain tends to deter larger crowds, which means shorter wait times for popular rides and attractions. Imagine gliding through the lines with minimal delays, allowing you to experience more of what the park has to offer. To make the most of your experience at Disney on a rainy day, be sure to bring these essential items: 1. Rain Ponchos: Pack lightweight and waterproof ponchos for each member of your group. They'll keep you dry and comfortable during outdoor activities. 2. Umbrella: Carry a compact and sturdy umbrella to shield yourself from the rain while walking between attractions or waiting in queues. Rainy days at Disney 3. Waterproof Shoes: Opt for comfortable and waterproof shoes to keep your feet dry throughout the day. Avoid open toed shoes or sneakers that can easily soak up water. 4. Extra Clothes: Pack a change of clothes for everyone, especially if you plan on experiencing water rides. Having dry clothes on hand will ensure you stay comfortable. Embracing the Rain at Hollywood Studios 5. Ziplock Bags: These come in handy for storing electronics, wallets, or other items you want to keep dry. They provide an extra layer of protection in case your bag or backpack gets wet. 6. Portable Phone Charger: Rainy days can drain your phone's battery faster. Carry a portable charger to keep your devices powered up and ready for capturing magical moments. 7. Waterproof Camera or Phone Case: If you plan on taking photos or videos, consider using a waterproof camera or a protective case for your phone to safeguard it from rain. Ultimately, embracing the adventure, regardless of the weather, is key to making the most of your Disney park experience. Rain may alter your plans slightly, but with the right mindset and preparation, you’ll find that your day can still be filled with excitement and joy. So, gear up and step into the magic, because whether it's raining or shining, a day at Disney is always an opportunity for unforgettable memories! • Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party: A Holiday We’ll Never Forget

There’s something truly magical about Christmastime at Walt Disney World, but nothing compares to the joy and wonder of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. My family had the chance to experience it for ourselves, and it truly turned out to be one of the most magical nights we’ve ever spent at Magic Kingdom. From the moment we stepped onto Main Street, U.S.A., we were surrounded by twinkling lights, holiday music, and the smell of warm cookies in the air. It felt like we had stepped into a Christmas movie. Entrance to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Our favorite part of the night was the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. Watching it live, with snow falling around us on Main Street, was unforgettable. Seeing Mickey, Minnie, and the princesses wave from their floats, followed by dancing gingerbread men, toy soldiers, Santa himself, and seeing my kids’ eyes light up was pure joy. Later that evening, we cozied up in front of Cinderella Castle for Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. The fireworks with classic carols, being with my kids, is a memory I will never forget. The entire show was spectacular, and simply in awe. One of the best surprises? The complimentary seasonal treats throughout the park. We picked up soft gingerbread cookies, drank warm cups of hot cocoa, and even found allergy-friendly options for our family. The best part of the night was that we never felt rushed or chaotic; everything felt relaxed and joyful. If you’re wondering if it’s a good event for families with kids, the answer is 100% yes. Mine had the best time meeting characters in festive outfits, riding their favorite attractions with little to no wait, and the overlays with Jingle Cruise and Space Mountain. They loved staying up past their bedtime and dancing at the dance parties. There was laughter, dancing, and so many little magical moments that I wish I could bottle up and keep forever. Jingle Cruise (Jungle Cruise overlay) The holiday magic returns to Magic Kingdom starting November 7 and runs through December 21, 2025. This festive celebration is a special ticketed event, and officially kicks off at 7:00 PM on select nights. But here’s a little gift just for party guests: you can enter the park as early as 4:00 PM to soak up even more holiday cheer! If you’ve ever dreamed of celebrating Christmas at Disney, this is the event that brings that dream to life. It’s not just lights and decorations, it’s the feeling of being wrapped in the warmth of the season, surrounded by the people you love, in the most magical place on earth. We still talk about that night and how special it felt. And I hope that if you ever get the chance to go, it becomes just as treasured a memory for you as it is for us.
